Dr. Sherry Higginbotham joins Cockeysville Opticians after spending more than 20 years working for a local ophthalmology practice. She has vast experience in different modes of practice and above all enjoys helping her patients with their vision and healthcare care needs. She is well versed in dry eye exams, diabetic eye disease, retinal conditions, contact lenses, as well as routine eye care.
Dr. Higginbotham graduated from Pennsylvania College of Optometry (now Salus University) and followed with an Ocular Disease Residency in Baltimore. While in her final year of optometry school, she received Clinical Honors in all of her externships including her rotation at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London, England.
A native of West Virginia, she graduated from West Virginia University with a degree in Biology and is always keeping an ear out for the next time Country Roads will be played.
In her spare time, you are likely to find her on the sidelines with her husband cheering on their daughter at her club soccer matches and basketball games, or visiting their son who attends WVU. She enjoys traveling, sports, reading, and is an amateur yarn wrangler.
